Workshop for Winds

Program: The conductor will offer parts and extracts of pieces from the classical and semi-classical, romantic repertoire.

Michael Wilson began playing the trombone and euphonium at the age of 11, eventually becoming a student of Joseph Zuskin at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, graduating in 1975. Since that time, as a professional musician he has performed with such organizations as l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the National Arts Centre Orchestra of Ottawa, the McGill Chamber Orchestra and I Musici de Montréal. As well, he has performed with international musicians including Dizzy Gillespie, Diana Krall, Renée Fleming and Luciano Pavarotti. Michael Wilson is a member of l'Orchestre Metropolitain de Montréal as well as the Vic Vogel Jazz Band. He teaches at Vanier College and Concordia University.

To meet a need expressed by our members, we have started a new project for wind instruments: flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, saxophones, horns, trumpets, trombones, tubas etc.
