CAMMAC - Canadian Amateur Musicians

To meet a need expressed by our members, we have started a new project for wind instruments: flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, saxophones, horns, trumpets, trombones, tubas etc.
Michael Wilson*, an experienced, well known musician and educator,  will direct this workshop and will put his talent at your service.

In response to a highly successful first workshop, we offer you another one.

Sunday, February 27, 2011, from 14:15 to 16:30.
Church of St. Sixte, 1897, rue de l'Église (corner boul. Marcel-Laurin), Ville St-Laurent. Enter by the parking lot next to the rectory.
 

Program: The conductor will offer parts and extracts of pieces from the classical and semi-classical, romantic repertoire.
At the end of the meeting, he will consult with you on your musical tastes and preferences and build the workshop program after taking into account your interests and group level. It will provide a monthly workshop, the dates to be announced on our website and at the end of each workshop.
 

Cost: 10$  to help defray costs of this activity.

*Michael Wilson, Trombone & Euphonium

Michael Wilson began playing the trombone and euphonium at the age of 11, eventually becoming a student of Joseph Zuskin at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, graduating in 1975.  Since that time, as a professional musician he has performed with such organizations as l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the National Arts Centre Orchestra of Ottawa, the McGill Chamber Orchestra and I Musici de Montréal. As well, he has performed with international musicians including Dizzy Gillespie, Diana Krall, Renée Fleming and Luciano Pavarotti.

Michael Wilson is a member of l'Orchestre Metropolitain de Montréal as well as the Vic Vogel Jazz Band. He teaches at Vanier College and Concordia University.
