It is with great sadness that we have recently learned of the passing of a long-time CAMMAC member, Brigitte Seeger. We’d like to extend our sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
October 14, 1929 – August 16, 2021
Brigitte will be remembered by many members as the lead violinist in the German string quartet that used to come to CAMMAC every summer to lead the chamber music programme.
“We spent so many unforgettable years at Cammac, teaching and playing. It was for us to play chamber music with her. She helped so much to establish what Cammac continues means to us all.” – Ralph Aldrich
“She was a great musician, a great teacher and a wonderful friend.” – Kim Swayne
“I remember magical summers when Brigitte was at CAMMAC. When I went to Europe in my twenties for a few years she and her home backs a welcoming beacon – so much laughter, stories, talks and music.” – Olga Van Kranendonk
“It was a great honour to know her, play and teach with her all those years ago.” – Gis Dalbec
A funeral ceremony will be held at a later date in Frankfurt.
