It is with great sadness that we have recently learned of the passing of a long-time CAMMAC member, Michael Hicks. We’d like to extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
MICHAEL HICKS
February 26, 1928 – July 16, 2021
A cherished member for many decades, Michael Hicks, left us this July 2021 after a long illness. Michael and his wife Barbara were regular participants at Lake McDonald and introduced their children to the wonders of Cammac and the surrounding area. Michael spent most of his career in Ottawa as a civil servant, a professor, a minister, and a much-appreciated bass in the Ottawa Choral Society and the Carleton University Choir. He was known for his gentle nature, intellect, and, as a grand storyteller.
Michael was active in the Ottawa chapter of Cammac, most notably at the annual Come Sing Messiah. We extend our condolences to Barbara and their children.
