Montreal born flutist Ariane Brisson studied in the studio of flutist Marie- Andrée Benny from 2008 to 2013 and received unanimously a Grand Distinction at her final public examination at the Montreal Music Conservatory. From a young age, she has entered and won several music competitions including the 28th edition of the OSTR Competition (Grand Prize – 2012), the prestigious Prix d’Europe competition (Grand Prize – 2013), the 6th International flute competition of Krakow (2014).

In 2013, Ms. Brisson pursued her studies under the tutelage of renowned flutist Mathieu Dufour at DePaul University in Chicago. She later graduated from the Université de Montréal with great honors in 2016, where she studied with Denis Bluteau.

Ms. Brisson is currently an active freelancer throughout the province of Québec, and regularly performs with les Violons du Roy, the Grands Ballets Canadiens and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal. Since 2016, Ms. Brisson is a permanent member of the woodwind quintet Pentaèdre, as well as the Duo Palladium with pianist Olivier Hébert-Bouchard.
