Gisèle Dalbec Szczesniak is the Concertmaster of the Kingston Symphony Orchestra and teaches violin, alto and chamber music at Queen’s University. Ms. Dalbec has recorded for CBC Radio, and is a frequent soloist with the KSO. Gisèle played with the Winnipeg Symphony, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, the Hamilton Phil, NACO and numerous New Music organizations. She is one of the co founders of the New Music Kingston Series which performs at the Isabel. Her studies began in Cornwall and Montreal, then on to the University of Toronto and Yale University. She and pianist Michel Szczesniak have produced 2 CDs, Notes to Myself and Bow and Ivory, and Gisèle can be heard as a soloist with the Kingston Symphony Orchestra, on their CD entitled A Symphonic Tapestry.
