Frédérique Delisle has been drawn to the arts, striking imagery, and powerful emotional experiences from an early age. She discovered contemporary dance through the Advanced Training and Bridging Program at L’École de danse de Québec, where she encountered a wide range of dance artists and began exploring new possibilities within her own body and movement practice. Inspired by these discoveries, she went on to enroll in the school’s professional training program, where she had the opportunity to work with artists such as Anne Plamondon, Harold Rhéaume, Fabien Piché, Éric Beauchesne, Emmanuelle Lê Phan, Virginie Brunelle, and many others.
Alongside her formal training, Frédérique continued to pursue her interest in street dance, participating in numerous workshops led by artists including Rahmane Belkebiche, Kim Gingras, Badkass, members of the immaBEAST company, Buddha Stretch, and Nindy Banks.
In 2021, she was awarded the Excellence Scholarship for Advanced Training from L’École de danse de Québec.
After graduating from L’École de danse de Québec in 2023, Frédérique went on to work with Annie Gagnon (D’Eux), LeCrue, Danse K par K, Mikaël Xystra Montminy, Théâtre grain et beauté, Fabien Piché, and Mélissa Martin. She has also continued to deepen her practice through a variety of professional intensives and workshops, including programs led by Hun Mok Jung (Peeping Tom) and Kyra Jean Green.
Frédérique’s movement language is rooted in intuition, instinct, and curiosity. She seeks to embody the ideas and experiences that move and inspire her, translating them into a physical expression that is profound, human, sincere, and sensitive. Her personal artistic research focuses on uncovering the body’s inner density and exploring how that internal richness can emerge through movement.
