
Laura Hawley is an Ottawa-based music educator, accompanist, composer, and church musician. She holds an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music and completed a Bachelor of Music in piano performance and Master’s in music theory at University of Ottawa. Laura is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association and teaches piano, theory, harmony and history. She is an Associate Performance Faculty Member and Contract Instructor at Carleton University, School for Studies in Art & Culture. Founding teacher of the Ottawa Summer Piano Camp, she has taught for several years at the Deep River Summer Music Camp and has enjoyed working as a guest conductor and clinician with groups such as the Suzuki piano school and CAMMAC. Ms. Hawley is Director of Music at St. John’s South March Anglican Church in Kanata. Her compositions have been performed by choirs across the country, including the Ontario Youth Choir and the Larkin Singers; and are available from Rhythmic Trident Music Publishing.
