Muriel Bontemps is a nature mentor and teacher who is passionate about bringing children outside, in nature, to learn and connect. With a background in Girl Guiding and camp counseling, Muriel completed teacher training and an M.Ed in Educational and Counseling Psychology at McGill University, and furthered her education with Coyote Programs’ Nature Mentor Training and The Lion and the Mouse’s Forest School/Playwork trainings which have enabled her to develop a better understanding and love of nature.

During the school year, in addition to her work as an elementary resource teacher with a passion for outdoor education, Muriel is an instructor for Coyote Programs where she guides children in day-long adventures in the woods of Montreal. Muriel is particularly fond of the plants in her neighborhood and believes nature can be found everywhere if one is mindful. She loves to sing, canoe and work on Land Art projects in parks in Montreal.
