Susan Isaac has been an active member of the CAMMAC community for approximately 25 years, participating in numerous programs at both the Music Centre in Harrington and in Ottawa-Gatineau. Initially joining as a vocalist, she has since expanded her musical repertoire to include the recorder. Susan has performed with several choirs in Ottawa and also participates in an informal recorder ensemble that meets regularly.

Music has been an integral part of Susan’s travels, having performed with choral groups in the Czech Republic and Nicaragua, and attending the Asia Choir Games while in Sri Lanka. During this international event, she was delighted to discover a Sri Lankan choir performing a southern African song she had previously sung at Lake MacDonald in the equal voices choir.

Susan previously served on the National Board as the Ottawa-Gatineau representative from 2007-2014, during the period following the construction of the Main Pavilion. She was also editor of the Ottawa-Gatineau newsletter from 2004-2011, as well as chair of the Choral Sub-committee from 2018-2020.

In 2021, Susan retired after more than four decades in the international development and international education sectors, where she specialized in program management and coordination, human resources management, and training.
