His native province of Nova Scotia gave him a solid foundation in choral music; his chosen home of Montreal has given him many exciting opportunities as a chorister. Bass Victor Chisholm has sung with the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal since 2015. His choral highlights include singing at Carnegie Hall and in several recordings for the Decca London label (Montreal Symphony Orchestra Chorus), as well as in Leonard Cohen’s Grammy Award-winning recording You Want It Darker and in the 2016 United Nations Holocaust Memorial Ceremony (Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue Choir). He also appears regularly with other leading Montreal ensembles including the Choir of the Church of St. Andrew & St. Paul, Voces Boreales, One Equall Musick, Les Rugissants, and Ensemble ArtChoral.
