Artistic director and founder of the early music ensemble Les Boréades, Francis Colpron is recognized by the music world as one of the most talented instrumentalists of his generation.

Acclaimed for the creativity and innovation he places at the heart of his artistic activities, he has performed with such prestigious ensembles as Apollo’s Fire, the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Tafelmusik, Opera Atelier, Les Violons du Roy, the Nova Scotia Orchestra and L’Harmonie des Saisons. Not only is Francis Colpron a seasoned recorder player, he is also a passionate teacher. There’s no doubt that he’ll be able to pass on to you the joy of playing in a flute consort! Francis is the director of the BACH+ Weekend, from Friday May 17 to Monday May 20, 2024, during which he will also be teaching recorder.
