WHAT’S NEW + PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

NEW
+
Chamber music with members of the Cobalt String Quartet.
Guillaume Villeneuve (violin), Clément Bufferne (viola), and François Leclerc (cello) taught at CAMMAC for the first time in the summer of 2023, and they are back this year by popular demand. A rising ensemble in the contemporary chamber music world, the Cobalt Quartet distinguishes itself with its eclectic and modern musical approach, exploring ancient music on period instruments with as much enthusiasm as contemporary creations. This year, we’re honoured that they are returning to bring their engaging and dynamic teaching style to the Week 1 chamber music program.

Vocal technique and improvisation with Irene Feher.
Trained in both classical (mezzo-soprano) and contemporary singing, Irene is a versatile performer and teacher who combines creative teaching strategies with inspired technical skills to help vocalists develop their musicianship and ensemble skills. Irene will also be teaching the Voice Masterclass during Week 1.

+ Take your cello skills to the next level with Catherine Mathieu, the founder of Pratico-Cello.
Cellists of all levels will benefit from Catherine’s extensive knowledge and expertise as they join her this week for classes, cello ensemble, and chamber music sessions. Catherine is also the creator of the PraticoCELLOTHÈQUE, a free directory of over 500 resources for amateur cellists.

+ Dive deep into a saxophone program with Louis-Philippe Bonin.
Level-up your technical and stylistic understanding of the saxophone and develop your ensemble skills, while refining your existing repertoire and exploring new works. Participants may attend up to three daily class periods devoted to the sax, which will allow them ample time in their schedules to participate in additional classes and activities.

NEW
+
Informal French conversation sessions will be held at the beginning of each week.

NEW
+
Two initiatives designed to help new participants make the most of their time at CAMMAC.
In the weeks leading up to the program, we will be reaching out to new participants to answer any questions they may have and help them prepare for their week at the Music Center. In addition, we will be implementing a buddy system where each new participant will be paired with a more experienced member who will act as a guide and provide orientation throughout the week.

If you are registering with children for camping or as an off-site participant, you may experience difficulty with the online reservation system. In this case, please call us to make your reservation.
