Let’s celebrate Cammac’s 70th anniversary at Thanksgiving!
From Friday October 6 to Monday October 9, 2023
Joy and gratitude set the tone for a musical celebration at the CAMMAC Music Centre, surrounded by the spectacular beauty of autumn in the Laurentians.
Spend three days making music with family and friends in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Amateur musicians of all ages and skill levels will take part in music, arts, sports and outdoor activities throughout the weekend.

MUSIC PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES

Programs for adults, children, and teens feature a diverse choice of classes, workshops, and musical genres for all levels of amateur musicians.
If you don’t know how to read music, don’t worry! Classes for beginners are available.

🍁 Teenagers will have the flexibility to select from both teenage-specific classes and adult courses.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES:
🍁 Entertainment: concert and cocktail, Cabaret night, bonfire, sports, and outdoor activities for everyone.
🍁 “Scottie Simons” Special Craft Activity: a fall-themed crafting session to celebrate CAMMAC’s 70th anniversary.
🍁 CAMMAC Music Quiz: 70th-anniversary edition!
🍁 Choral Workshop – Bach sing-along:
On Sunday, one-day participants can join the choir to sing choral melodies by Bach.

🍁 Cocktail-hour concert: with Kate Wyatt (piano) and Adrian Vedady (double bass).

🍁 Thanksgiving banquet and Ball:
A ball will take place after Sunday’s banquet, under the direction of Marie-Nathalie Lacoursière.

IMAGINING THE FUTURE TOGETHER!
🍁 On Saturday October 7 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., we will gather in Lucy Hall for an informal discussion over a drink about CAMMAC’s future. Come and share your vision of CAMMAC in 10, 20, or 70 years.

THANKSGIVING REPERTOIRE

Throughout the weekend, we pay tribute to CAMMAC’s founders, who held Bach’s music in high regard, by presenting performances of selected excerpts from J.S. Bach’s cantatas.
The repertoire for choir and orchestra/instrumental ensemble will include movements from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio for voice and instrumentation. The program will showcase various instruments, including flutes, oboes, clarinets, trumpets, timpani, bassoon, and strings.

The meal plan is optional only for participants lodging in camping and off-site participants. If you select accommodations in the Lake House or the Main Pavilion, the meal plan is mandatory.

The banquet meal is included with the full week and weekend packages for participants staying in the Main Pavilion and the Lake House.
For camping and off-site participants, tickets for the banquet are available either at the time of registration via the Reservit website, by calling Customer Service, or on-site during your stay. We ask that you purchase your banquet tickets in advance of your stay to allow us to order sufficient supplies.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Rates are in Canadian dollars.
- GST (5%) and QST (9.975%) are not included in the rates shown.
- If your membership is not up to date for 2023-24, the CAMMAC membership fee will be added to your invoice (memberships are renewable annually on October 1st).
- 50% of your total invoice, before taxes, will be charged to your credit card within 5 business days of your reservation.

We reserve the right to adjust the invoice in the event of errors or omissions (for example, forgetting membership fees, incorrect choice of meal plan, or musical program). In this case, an adjusted invoice will be sent to you.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Before September 19, 2023: All cancellations (partial or full) will incur a $50 administrative fee.
- After September 19, 2023: Any cancellation will incur an administrative fee of 50% of the total amount of the reservation after taxes. Partial cancellations will incur an administrative fee of 50% of the difference after taxes.
- Membership fees are not refundable.
- In the event that changes are made as a result of amended health regulations, the administrative fee will be waived.
REDUCED RATES FOR CHAPERONES:
The “CHAPERONE” rate is applicable to an adult accompanying a child/teenager, lodging on-site, and not wishing to take part in the music program (maximum 1 chaperone per accommodation unit).
GENERAL INFORMATION
Arrival: Friday October 6
• You may arrive beginning at 2 p.m., but rooms will only be available beginning at 4 p.m.
• Light supper: 6 p.m.
• The program officially begins at 7:30 p.m.
Departure: Monday October 9, 2 p.m. (after lunch)
• Rooms must be vacated by 9 a.m.
