The CAMMAC Symphony Orchestra celebrates CAMMAC’s 70 years of making music

The CAMMAC Symphony Orchestra is proud to dedicate their upcoming concert on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 to the 70th anniversary of CAMMAC. Approaching nearly three quarters of a century of making music together and forging bonds between people that transcend differences in age, language and culture is a milestone worth celebrating!

The concert program will feature Beethoven’s Overture to The Ruins of Athens, Chausson’s Poème for violin and orchestra, Brahms’ Poco Allegretto from his 3rd Symphony, and Ravel’s Bolero, under the direction of conductors Jean-Pierre Brunet and Geoffroy Michaud-Beaulieu, with Geneviève Parent performing on the violin.

In addition, the video of Mélodie Rabatel’s Hymne à CAMMAC will be premiered for the first time in public during the May 18th concert. Mélodie created this project during the pandemic to remind people of all the things they love about CAMMAC, and several members and teachers participated in the creation of the video.

All are welcome, and we hope that many CAMMAC members will attend.
