Dear Friends and Members,
The Board of Directors met April 7th to discuss how the evolving COVID-19 situation will affect CAMMAC’s operations, and to prepare a plan for moving forward.
We would like to assure everyone that the safety and security of our members, clients and team members will always be our first priority. We will continue to monitor the level of risk associated with COVID-19, and ensure that the decisions and measures implemented with regards to our planned events are effective, appropriate and clearly communicated to our members, clients and employees.
CAMMAC MUSIC CENTRE AND NATIONAL OFFICE
The current recommendation from the Québec government is to avoid unnecessary indoor gatherings. Recreational sites, training centres and performance spaces are ordered closed until at least May 4th, 2020, and we are complying with these obligations. Once we are permitted to re-open, we will be making all the recommended modifications to our food services as well as our housekeeping operating procedures. We look forward to a healthy and happy summer!
- SUMMER PROGRAMS & MUSICAL SUNDAYS FESTIVAL at the Music Centre:
For the moment, these events are scheduled to proceed as planned, as these events fall outside of the current window of restrictions. Our cancellation and refund policies remain unchanged for the moment, but please be assured that we are monitoring the situation closely and changes will be implemented if necessary.
- UPCOMING GROUP RENTALS are cancelled for the next 8 weeks. Case by case modifications are being made depending on group requirements, participant numbers as well as government directives. We are communicating with upcoming groups on an individual basis.
For the time being, the National Office in Harrington remains remotely open. Please note that Sylvie Laplante has replaced Marion Plouvin as our Customer Service Representative, so if you have specific concerns she can be contacted Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm by email at communications@cammac.ca or by phone at 819-687-3938, extension 25. Please be patient, as the call volume is very high at the moment.
REGIONAL EVENTS FOR MONTREAL, OTTAWA AND TORONTO:

OTTAWA-GATINEAU
All events cancelled through April 18th. We are investigating the possibilities of holding our Annual Regional Meeting without having to meet in person. Details will be announced shortly.

TORONTO
The sight reading scheduled to take place on March 22nd is cancelled. It will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

The concert that was scheduled for March 21st is postponed. Details to follow.
The sight reading scheduled for March 22nd is cancelled.
The regional assembly scheduled for March 22nd (which would have been held after the sight reading) is postponed. A new date will be announced as soon as possible.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING
We’re looking into holding the AGM scheduled for April 25th electronically, by video/teleconference. Details to come.
