Discovering musical genres :
Jazz - Classical

New in 2020 : Improvisation sessions for beginners – recording techniques

A mix of jazz and the classical : opt for one or the other or explore a little of both !
On the jazz side, we pay tribute to the life of Vic Vogel, an important figure in the world of jazz in Montréal. He was famous for having written the music for the 1976 Olympics, inspired by the works of Quebec piano prodigy André Mathieu. The best melodist with the Beatles, according to Bernstein!
And on the classical side, almost a perfect century apart, we will explore the lush music of Franz Schubert through his magnificent works.
If you’ve always wanted to start playing jazz or you want to develop the jazz skills you already have, or if you just like having jazz in the background, this is the week for you !

Classes include : big bands – wind orchestra – brass ensemble – chamber music – jazz combos – vocal jazz (interpretation) – jazz improvisation – choir – jazz choir — world percussion – recorder – piano – instrument classes – yoga – dance – sound recording – jam sessions for beginners, advanced and teens
