While the repertoire, guest artists, and certain program details vary from year to year, the spirit of the retreat remains the same.<\/p>\n

The CAMMAC Music Centre welcomes you for a musical weekend getaway in the heart of the majestic Laurentians.<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

At the peak of autumn in the Laurentians, this festive weekend offers a fully immersive experience of music, creative activities, and time to unwind outdoors. Between rehearsals, celebrations and fun activities, it\u2019s a unique opportunity to step outside your usual routine, broaden your musical horizons, and enjoy everything the season has to offer.<\/p>\n

Two sessions for all levels, from beginners to advanced players, plus a recorder ensemble led by Francis Colpron, founder and artistic director of Les Bor\u00e9ades de Montr\u00e9al.<\/span><\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”24″][vc_column_text]\u271a\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Instrumental Ensemble: <\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the repertoire chosen for the weekend, the instrumental ensemble will accompany the choir on selected pieces.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”24″][vc_column_text]\u271a <\/strong><\/span>Informal Chamber Music: <\/strong><\/p>\n

For winds, strings, and piano \u2013 intermediate to advanced musicians only.<\/p>\n

Preregistration is not required \u2013 groups will be formed on-site. Pre-formed groups are also welcome.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”24″][vc_column_text]\u271a <\/strong><\/span>Jazz Combos+:<\/strong><\/p>\n

For melodic instruments (brass, clarinet, saxophone, etc.) and rhythm-section instruments (piano, guitar, bass, drums). Rooted in jazz, these ensembles also explore a variety of popular styles.<\/p>\n

Pre-registration is required so that we can prepare the repertoire and form groups in advance. Once we have received your booking, you will be sent a link to the registration form (Part 2), which will allow you to confirm your participation in the chamber music sessions. Choir, dance, recorder, percussion, visual arts, nature activities, sports, and outdoor play \u2013 everything is in place to keep the children occupied from morning till night.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”24″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\u271a <\/span>Choral Singing with Guest Conductor M\u00e9lodie Rabatel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inspired by Thanksgiving, the choral program celebrates the beauty of nature, the joy of sharing, and the spirit of togetherness. Jazz-influenced harmonies, lively rhythms and melodies from near and far come together in a varied repertoire that is by turns uplifting, playful, and deeply moving. Several pieces will be performed with instrumental accompaniment.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”18″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
