Wind speeds reached up to 175 km\/h along a track more than 10 kilometres long and, at times, over one kilometre wide.<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;24&#8243;][vc_column_text]Approximately 20 large trees were brought down at the Music Centre, and the power went out, but fortunately no one was injured. Despite the disruption, the music program continued, with both the orchestra and the a cappella class rehearsing as scheduled that evening.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts and support go out to our neighbours to the north, as well as throughout the Harrington Valley, where the storm caused far greater devastation.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone on site for your calm, patience, and cooperation during and after this exceptional event.<\/p>\n<p>We also wish to sincerely thank our partners for their remarkable responsiveness and availability.
