The CAMMAC Symphony Orchestra celebrates CAMMAC’s 70 years of making music.
In spring 2023, the CAMMAC Symphony Orchestra (OSC) dedicated its concert to this event. The evening of May 18 began with a speech by Élizabeth Little, one of the daughters of the founders who spoke to us about the history of the Music Center and presented, as a world premiere, the new song tribute Hymne to CAMMAC by Mélodie Rabatel . Under the direction of Jean-Pierre Brunet and Geoffroy Michaud-Beaulieu, the OSC performed the Overture to the Ruins of Athens by Beethoven, the famous 3rd movement of Brahms’ 3rd symphony, the fiery Boléro by Ravel and with the captivating violin sound from Geneviève Parent, Poème by Chausson. It was a memorable concert.
