Marton began his musical career by studying the violin, which he played until the age of 16. He then took up orchestral percussion. Drums took precedence over violin, and he obtained a college diploma in jazz drumming from Collège Vincent-D’indy. In 2006, Marton graduated in music from the Université de Montréal, where he studied percussion with Julien Grégoire and Robert Leroux. He then deepened his knowledge of world percussion, traveling from Havana to Morocco. Since then, he has worked as a multi-instrumentalist on the Cirque Éloize & Teatro Sunil show NEBBIA, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca.
A versatile musician, he plays regularly with René Lussier, Yves Lambert, Solawa, Misses Satchmo, BRIGA… Since 2016, Marton has presented over a hundred performances a year as part of the Jeunesses Musicales Canada team. His work can be heard on several Quebec and Canadian albums.
