Julieta Cervantes is a Montreal-based choral conductor and multi-instrumentalist with a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation of choral singers.

She holds a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the Université de Sherbrooke, where she studied under Robert Ingari, as well as a Bachelor of Music with a minor in Music Education from McGill University. Her passion for choral singing began at a young age while attending École FACE in Montreal.

In recent years, Julieta has worked as a conductor and vocal coach with a variety of organizations, including Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval, Partageons l’Espoir, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra’s La Musique aux Enfants program, and Les Petites Voix du Plateau.

In 2024, she was selected from a competitive pool of applicants to participate as an apprentice conductor in a masterclass led by Nila Rajagopal. As part of the program, she conducted the English Montreal School Board Senior Chorale during Podium 2024 in Montreal. She was also invited to conduct the choir at the 16th edition of Enchantons-Nous 2025, a major choral singing festival organized by the FAMEQ.

Julieta joined the CAMMAC Music Centre faculty in the summer of 2025. More recently, she became a member of the École LUMI team within the Faculty of Music at the Université de Montréal, serving as choral conductor and piano and voice instructor for its 2026 music camps.

A versatile musician, Julieta is also an experienced piano teacher and an active participant in Montreal’s vibrant musical community. Over the years, she has sung with numerous choirs, which has led to opportunities to perform alongside internationally renowned artists such as Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli (in 2018 and 2024). Her extensive choral repertoire includes Brahms’s Requiem, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, Dompierre’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, Vaughan Williams’s A Sea Symphony, Poulenc’s Stabat Mater, and the operas La Bohème by Puccini and Carmen by Bizet.
