Born in Montreal, soprano Andréanne Brisson-Paquin studied voice at the University of Montreal before earning a master’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. During her time there, she developed a deep affinity for Baroque and Classical repertoire, as well as for the art song tradition.

Praised for her artistry, expressive depth, and sincerity, she has appeared with leading ensembles such as Les Violons du Roy, the Orchestre Métropolitain, and Arion Baroque Orchestra. Recent highlights include performances as guest soloist with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Haydn’s The Creation, with I Musici de Montréal in Gerald Finzi’s cantata Dies Natalis, and in the opera-ballet Le Triomphe des Sens at the Montréal Baroque Festival.

A sensitive and attentive performer, she is especially drawn to the intimacy of recital and chamber music. Her career has been recognized with numerous national and international awards, including distinctions at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Competition in Paris, the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition, the Joy in Singing and Mary Trueman Art Song Vocal Competitions in New York, and the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition in Manitoba. In 2012, she received the Guy-Soucie Excellence Award.

Beginning in the fall of 2026, she will join the faculty of Cégep de Drummondville as Professor of Voice.
