An exciting end-of-summer music retreat at the CAMMAC Music Centre!
WEEK 8: Sunday August 17 to Sunday August 24, 2025
Rhythms of the World: it’s all about the groove!
Prepare to be energized, inspired, and connected through the universal language of music!

The newest addition to our Summer Music Retreat program lineup, Week 8 has become a new tradition for many CAMMAC members who enjoy the exciting creative energy and supportive environment that makes this such a standout week.
Cross-cultural musical traditions will come alive in small and large ensembles, body percussion workshops, and a healing drum circle. In addition to chamber music, choir and recorder, the week also focuses on popular and world musics.

Who is Week 8 for? It’s for you!
- For musicians wishing to focus on classical music, the program offers piano, cello, violin, viola, and clarinet in a chamber music setting, along with instrumental courses.
- Aspiring singer-songwriters, take note! No matter how much or how little song-writing experience they have, participants in the creative song writing workshop can collaborate with others or develop individual projects while receiving coaching from seasoned songwriters.
- An ideal week for percussionists of all levels: from an Indigenous drum circle to body percussion workshops with Lu Horta and workshops that focus on Brazilian rhythms, percussionists who have asked for more will find everything they’ve been looking for.
- For those interested in learning more about recording tools and techniques, an audio post-production workshop will offer hands-on experience, tips and tricks on the console, and a chance to record a song.
- Tai chi and mindful meditation in nature add a wellness aspect to the week’s program.
From singer-songwriter and Week 8 Director Rachel Beausoleil:
“Every time I work at CAMMAC, I have the joy of seeing people completely immersed in music. My mission is to give them an unforgettable experience!”
