
Marie-Annick Béliveau is a native of Quebec city. She moved to Montreal to study voice at McGill with Jan Simons. She was his student for nearly 17 years. More recently she worked with Marie Daveluy.
For over 20 years she was a very active chorister in Montreal, singing with the MSO and Opéra de Montréal chorus, La Chapelle de Québec, Viva Voce and Studio de Musique Ancienne de Montréal.
She has made a name for herself as an accomplished performer of the contemporary repertoire, premiering over 30 works in Canada and Europe.
An accomplished voice teacher, Marie-Annick is in charge of classical vocal instruction at UQAM, and is teaching regularly at CAMMAC Lake McDonald Music center since 1992. www.marieannickbeliveau.com
