Gertrude Létourneau, a native of St-Césaire, Québec, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s Degree in Performance from the University of Montreal. She furthered her studies with a Licentiate in Performance and Communication Skills from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England, and trained under Geoffrey Gilbert in Florida.

For 23 years, Gertrude served as a therapeutic musician at Perley Health in Ottawa before transitioning to freelance work. She now presents concerts in senior homes and performs with pianist Catherine Donkin as Duo Cecilia, participating in various concert series, including Chamberfest in Ottawa.

Gertrude conducts workshops titled “Building Bridges,” aimed at helping musicians better connect with their audiences through performance and communication techniques.
