Dear members, dear CAMMAC families,

This past summer will remain etched in our collective memory. On July 21, the tornado that swept through our site was a powerful reminder of how our community pulls together in the face of adversity. I want to sincerely thank our team and you, our members, for your patience, understanding, and solidarity in the weeks that followed. Thanks to this collective effort, our programming was able to continue, and our site has since regained its full splendor.

I would also like to recognize the outstanding contribution of our partners and suppliers, whose availability, swift execution, and attention to detail made possible a quick, safe and efficient restoration of our site. Their professionalism throughout this situation made all the difference and deserves our deepest gratitude.

This resilience is also what has animated CAMMAC since 1953. This summer, it took the form of welcoming over 800 participants and more than 170 teachers who came to live and share music on the shores of Lake Macdonald — a powerful testament to the vitality of our community, even in a season marked by the unexpected. This success is owed to the dedication of our permanent and seasonal staff and the ongoing commitment of our regional committees in Montreal, Ottawa-Gatineau, and Toronto.

As autumn approaches, several initiatives continue behind the scenes: the review of our emergency preparedness plan, the welcoming of new faces to our permanent team, preparation for our annual fundraising campaign, and the relaunch of our working committees, including Finance, Human Resources, Infrastructure, the 75th anniversary, and more.

We look forward to welcoming you again soon, at our next musical gathering.

Cynthia Bonenfant, CAMMAC Executive Director
