One could almost say that Margaret Little was born at CAMMAC! That’s where she discovered and fell in love with the viola da gamba when she was only eleven. She taught many viol enthusiasts at the Music Centre as an adult. Margaret has had great pleasure in contributing to CAMMAC’s growth and success in different ways during the last decades: as a member of the Opus CAMMAC campaign committee from 1995 to 1997, member of the construction committee for the new main building, member of the Board of the CAMMAC Foundation from its creation till 2016, president of the Board of Directors from 1997 to 2002 and initiator, with Harry Qualman, of the CAMMAC Forever campaign to create our first ever endowment fund. She was also appointed executive director for three years between 2013 and 2016. Margaret performs as a soloist and a chamber musician on the viola da gamba and baroque viola with various Montreal-based and international ensembles. She has toured in five continents, recorded over 100 CDs and taught upcoming young viol players.
